Weehawken, NJ is a great spot to photograph the NYC skyline. This time-lapse was taken in a Weehawken park overlooking the Hudson River and New York skyline.

Hess Triangle - a NYC oddity. It is the smallest piece of private property. In 1914 when New York City expanded the Seventh Avenue subway. Unfortunately many buildings would be demolished.

Some residents were upset about the demolitions, including the Hess Estate, owners of an apartment building at the intersection of Seventh Avenue South and Christopher Street. Eventually, they gave in and surrendered their property. But a surveyor’s mistake meant that the Hess Estate could keep a 26-inch by 24-inch sliver of their property.

The Morgan Museum contains rare books and manuscripts. It includes hand written works by Beethoven, Bob Dylan, Michelangelo and Rembrandt. It’s conveniently located in midtown Manhattan.

The Edge is a uniquely designed observation sky deck located at the 100th floor of the 30 Hudson Yards building.

It was opened in 2020 and instantly became a popular visitor attraction.

In 2021, City Climb was added - a daredevil experience that involves gearing up in a jumpsuit, helmet and harness and climbing up first to an outdoor platform, called The Cliff, and then another 161 stairs to The Apex, 1,271 feet above the ground and the highest perch you can get to in New York City.

The Summit at One Vanderbilt is a unique observation deck and offers great views of New York City from above.

The Summit consists of three floors at the top of the One Vanderbilt Avenue skyscraper designed to be a walk-through art installation of sweeping views, mirrored floors, and somewhat over-stimulating sensory experiences. It's really something.

Tips on where to photograph the New York City skyline.

The High Line is a 1.45-mile-long elevated park on the West Side of Manhattan in New York City. It follows the abandoned tracks of a former New York Central Railroad spur. The park is very popular with both locals and tourists attracting approximately 8 million visitors per year.

Top Attractions in New York’s Greenwich Village include Washington Square Park, Strolling along MacDougal Street, Visiting Stonewall National Monument, Watching a comedy show or live music, watching an independent movie.

NYC has hosted over 200 ticker tape parades on Broadway’s “Canyon of Heroes” honoring Presidents, Astronauts, Sports Champions, Royalty, Soldiers and many more. Some you may be surprised by. So don’t forget to look down next time you are on Broadway in Lower Manhattan.

The Vessel is located in New York's Hudson Yards. The honeycomb-like structure rises 150 feet and consists of 154 flights of stairs and 80 landings for visitors to enjoy the views.

The Met Cloisters in NYC, the largest collection of Medieval art in the United States.

It is located in Fort Tryon Park and accessible by car and subway. Entrance is $30 but NY and NJ residents can pay any amount.
